BCBA Credentialing & Enrollment

The terms are often combined, but they address different stages. A provider may need both before a plan recognizes the practice as in-network and processes claims accordingly.

Credentialing

We organize and verify the information a payer uses to assess a BCBA’s professional qualifications and practice history.

  • BACB certification and applicable state license reviewed
  • NPI and provider profile details checked for consistency
  • Education, work history, liability coverage, and disclosures organized
  • Sanctions and exclusion information prepared for verification

Without Credentialing:

Incomplete or inconsistent records can delay review, prevent network participation, and interrupt referral pathways.

Enrollment

We submit the approved provider and practice information through the payer’s required application, contracting, and setup channels.

  • Individual, group, and location applications coordinated
  • Commercial and state Medicaid workflows supported where eligible
  • Payer requests and application status followed through completion
  • Directory, EFT, ERA, EDI, and billing setup coordinated

Without Enrollment:

Claims may be treated as out of network, held for missing affiliations, or denied because provider and location records are not active.

What Changes When You're In-Network?

Network participation can influence access, referrals, reimbursement, and the amount of administrative work carried by your practice.

Stronger Revenue

Join appropriate payer panels and build a more dependable reimbursement mix.

Wider Reach

Make covered ABA services available to more families and referral partners.

Verified Standing

Present current certification, licensure, and practice information to each plan.

Lighter Admin Load

Move portal work, application tracking, and payer follow-up off your clinical team.

Higher Approval Odds

Review every file against payer-specific requirements before it enters the queue.

Always Compliant

Track expiring credentials, profile updates, and recredentialing requirements.

Things BCBAs Ask Us First

Common answers before you begin. Final requirements are always confirmed for your state, practice structure, and target payer.
Timing depends on the payer, state, network status, application completeness, and the plan’s review queue. BACB certification, state licensure, credentialing, and payer enrollment are separate processes. We prepare the file, submit it through the required channel, respond to requests, and track it through a final decision without promising a universal completion date.
Common requests include current BACB certification, an applicable state license, Type 1 NPI, CAQH data when the payer uses it, work history, liability coverage, disclosures, tax information, and practice-location details. Group enrollment may also require a Type 2 NPI, ownership records, W-9, and organizational documents. The final list is payer and state specific.
Many commercial plans use CAQH ProView to collect provider information, but not every payer does. CAQH is a data repository, not enrollment by itself. When it is required, the profile must be complete, authorized for the relevant plans, and kept current.
Yes. We can coordinate applications across selected commercial and public programs when the provider and practice meet each plan’s participation rules. Every payer makes its own network and credentialing decision, so requirements and outcomes can differ.
It depends on the payer, state program, supervision arrangement, and billing model. Some plans require registration, rostering, or separate enrollment; others recognize services only under an enrolled supervising or rendering provider. We verify the applicable rule before including assistant analysts or technicians in an enrollment workflow.
We first verify whether the specific practitioner, service, and enrollment pathway are eligible under current Medicare rules. Medicare coverage and enrollment for behavior-analytic services should not be assumed from commercial or Medicaid participation. If a valid pathway applies, we can support the required enrollment steps.

MantraComply supports BCBA credentialing, payer enrollment, and licensing workflows across all 50 U.S. states, including California, Texas, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, Virginia, Washington, and more, along with Washington, D.C., and U.S. territories. Our workflows are tailored to the licensing, payer, and compliance requirements of each jurisdiction.

Yes. MantraComply can support your practice beyond initial credentialing and enrollment. Depending on your service plan, support can include payer follow-up, enrollment monitoring, re-credentialing, roster updates, EFT/ERA setup, and ongoing compliance tracking.

For practices using Mantra’s managed model, the broader service can also include billing, claims, payer administration, and insurance operations, creating a more end-to-end workflow from credentialing through reimbursement.

Pricing depends on the number of clinicians, entities, locations, states, and payer applications involved. We scope the credentialing and enrollment work after reviewing your practice structure and target plans, then provide the appropriate service option.
